"Clarity" is a song by German/Russian electronic dance music producer Zedd, and the title track from Zedd's debut studio album Clarity. It features vocals from English singer Foxes. The song was produced by Zedd and written by Zedd, Matthew Koma, Porter Robinson and Skylar Grey and released as iTunes Single of the Week on October 2, 2012, and as an EP on February 12, 2013 via Interscope Records. Zedd has released an extended mix of the song exclusively on Beatport on November 12, 2012.[1]

The extended play of the track was released on February 18, 2013. It features ten remixes including Tiësto, Headhunterz, and Funkagenda among others.[2] From December 2012 to February 4, 2013, Zedd hosted a remix contest for the track. There were 982 official entries.[3] The winning remix by Tom Budin is due to feature on an upcoming Zedd release.[4]

The song was covered by Jessica Sanchez in her recent guest starring on Glee where she performed this song for Regionals competition in the episode "All or Nothing". Jessica also performed an acoustic version of this song with Zedd which was uploaded on YouTube. Michelle Chamuel also covered this song on the fourth season of the North American version of The Voice. It debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at 86, it peaked at 8 and his first entry on the Billboard Hot 100 and his most successful song in the US and Worldwide. It has sold 1,200,000 copies as of August 15, 2013.

Music video

A music video directed by Jodeb was released on January 11, 2013. As of September 4, 2013, the video has received over 27 million views on YouTube.[5]
