Darchik[a] (Tibetan: དང་རྩིགས, Wylie: dang rtsigs, THL: dang tsik)[citation needed] is a panchayat village in the Aryan valley region [3]of Ladakh of a Kargil district. It is populated by Buddhist Brokpa people.[4] In addition to Darchik itself, the panchayat covers the hamlet of Sanache.[citation needed] Darchik is one of the 66 villages in the Kargil tehsil.[5] Per the 2011 census, it has a population of 624 people living in 85 households.[2]
