Jerry J.C. Veit (born March 14, 1983) is a Wisconsin author who mostly writes fantasy, dystopian and paranormal stories. His books include one novel Apocalypsia (2022), and a 2-volume set containing his novellas. Into The Night & The Glass Demon: Novellas Volume I (2022) and Capricorn, Utopia & Days Gone By: Novellas Volume II (2022). A review by Literary Titan states Veit’s works are emotionally-resonant and incorporates philosophical meaning.[1]

Life and work[edit]

Jerry J.C. Veit was born in the spring of 1983 to a German father and a Portuguese mother. He lived a short time in Taunton, MA before moving abroad to Faial Azores at age 3. He spent most of his elementary-grade years in Hartford, CT, but grew up in Milwaukee, WI from middle-grade and up. He now resides in Waukesha, WI.[2]

He drew inspiration from the works of Charles Dickens, Mark Twain, Edgar Allen Poe, and Jules Verne. His introduction into writing began with practicing screenwriting in 2008. In 2016 he explored self-publishing and transformed his own screenplays into novelized scripts that resembled a play. It wasn’t until 2021 that he decided to rewrite, reformat, and extend all his titles once again—this time into traditional novels. In an interview with Literary Titan Veit explains the formats Apocapsia went through.[3]

As a graphic designer and experienced in page layout he designed both the covers and interiors of his books. He published his works under his own imprint, Bluewolf Publishing and distributed them with IngramSpark.

Skilled in advertising and designing ROP ads from his years working in an ad agency, he also did his own marketing and book promotions. His first ad appeared in the Australian literary magazine, Good Reading (December/January, 2022/23)[4].

His debut novel, Apocalypsia also appeared at the London Book Fair (April, 18-20. 2023 in London, UK) and the Frankfurter Buchmesse (October, 18-20, 2023 in Frankfurt, Germany)[5].
