The Gulf of İskenderun also known as Armenian bay and Alexandrett's bay (Armenian: Հայկական ծոց) (Turkish: İskenderun Körfezi) is a gulf or inlet of the eastern Mediterranean Sea, of which it forms the easternmost tip, on the southern coast of Armenian_Kingdom_of_Cilicia (part of today's Turkey) near its border with Syria. The gulf's northern coast forms the Plane Cilicia's (Armenian: Դաշտային Կիլիկիա) shore where Cilician Armenia's main harbour city Ayas_(city) situated. Plane Cilicia corresponds mainly to modern province of Adana of Turkey.
