Annamalai has been influenced by the [[Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh]] (RSS). According to MyNation by [[Asianet News Network|Asianet News]], while he was posted in Chikkamagaluru, he had become closer to CT Ravi and had a better understanding of RSS ideology. In his last posting as DCP South in Bengaluru, he met with the RSS leaders in their headquarters at Keshava Krupa, which also happens to be in South Bengaluru. K. Annamalai is an Indian nadar politician and former Member of the Legislative Assembly. He was elected to the Tamil Nadu legislative assembly as an Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam candidate from Tenkasi constituency in 2001 election.[1]
