The Chosen Collection of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (seasons 1 - 7).

The following is a list of episodes for the American cult television series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The series began with an unaired series pilot which took place in 1996, then continued to its first season in March 10, 1997 [1] and ran for over seven years until its finale in May 19, 2003.[1] In that time, 144 episodes of the series have aired.

Seasons one to five of the series ran on the WB, and in 2001, it transferred to the United Paramount Network (UPN) for its final two seasons.[2] In the United Kingdom, the entire series aired on BBC Two.

Currently, all the seven seasons of the series are available on DVDs for regions 1 and 2. Two all-season collections (The Chosen Collection and The Complete DVD Collection) have been released separately for these regions.

Xander sneaks into the quarantined hyena cage and he and four others are infected by something. They start acting like jerks; Xander is mean to and hits on Willow. Buffy lures them back into the cage and cures them.

Buffy and Angel share their first kiss, and she learns he is a non-evil vampire who has had his soul restored by a Gypsy curse. Darla attempts to kill buffy and is staked by Angel.

Willow meets a boy, Malcolm, on the Internet. Malcom is really Moloch, a demon trapped in a book. When he was released he started causing havoc using the Internet. Buffy defeats him with the help of the computer teacher.

Buffy and her friends are forced to participate in the school's talent show, when a boys heart is harvested. Buffy thinks it's a fellow student, but when is killed it turns out to be his dummy.

Sunnydale residents find their nightmares coming true. A boy in a coma is haunted because he was attacked by his coach. They wake him up and help him confront his fears, which dispels the problem.

Marcy is a student that has been ignored by everyone, including Cordelia, and becomes invisible. She attacks Cordelia's friends, and attempts to mutilate her. Buffy defeats her, and the FBI takes her for training.

Buffy quits when a prophecy predicts she will die, but then goes after the Master and the Anointed One. They subdue her, but Xander and Angel revive her, and she defeats the Master and sends him into the Hellmouth.

Buffy spies Angel talking to Drusilla in a playground, but mistakes it for kissing. The next day, Billy "Ford" Fordham, her fifth-grade crush, comes to Sunnydale High. Ford rises as a vampire after giving up Buffy to Spike and gets staked by her.

An old childhood friend of Giles appears, only to die. It is revealed that an old demon from Giles' shady teenage past is haunting him and Ethan Rayne. The demon possesses Ms. Calendar, and is defeated by Angel.

Spike calls in an ancient order of assassins. Spike and Drusilla get closer to finding her cure when they find the key to decoding the ancient text. Buffy finds herself fending off Angel's attacker, who identifies herself as "Kendra, the Vampire Slayer."

Buffy and Kendra work together to save Angel and battle Spike and Drusilla. However, Drusilla is restored and carries the seriously injured Spike from the burning building.

Buffy returns from a night out with Xander and Willow to find Joyce kissing a man called Ted. Ted then turns out to be a homicidal robot, who has married and killed four women before. Ted attempts to kidnap Joyce, but is defeated by Buffy.

Sunnydale High students adopt eggs for health class, but the eggs contain mind-possessing face hugger creatures which are taking over the school. There is a giant Bezoar demon under the school, which is laying the eggs. Buffy goes to kill it.

The Scoobies are planning a surprise birthday for Buffy's 17th birthday. Drusilla also has a birthday, and Spike plans to reassemble The Judge for her. Buffy and Angel consummate their relationship.

Angel undergoes a drastic change, it's revealed that his night with Buffy gave Angel "one moment of true happiness" and it cost him his soul and caused him to revert to Angelus; Buffy blows The Judge with a rocket launcher which Xander gave her.

There's a werewolf going inside the town. Buffy tries to capture the werewolf, but it escapes. The werewolf goes to the woods to sleep, and awakens the next morning as Oz. Willow and Oz finally kiss.

Cordelia decides to dump Xander when her friends mock her. Xander retaliates by attempting a love spell. Cordelia finally faces up to her friends and walks away with Xander.

Angel continues to torment Buffy; Jenny tries to make up with Giles by managing to translate the spell to restore a vampire's soul with her computer, but Angel smashes her computer.

A tortured ghost reenacts a murder-suicide at Sunnydale High. The ghost lures Buffy into the school, and Angelus goes to kill her. Meanwhile, Spike secretly recovers from his spinal injury.

Xander goes undercover on the Sunnydale swim team after members begin turning up dead. Apparently, the swim-team coach gives fish/steroid cocktails to the swim team to get them to perform, but turns them into sea monsters.

Angelus has found a demon called Acathla, who can suck the entire world into hell; Buffy discovers the spell that can restore his soul. Kendra returns to Sunnydale, because of a dark power that's rising, but Drusilla kills her.

Giles reveals the secret of Acathla. Willow's curse works, but only after Acathla is awakened, after being tortured by Angelus. Seconds after his soul is returned, Buffy drove the sword through his heart, and sent him to Hell to close Acathla's vortex.

The First Evil is driving Angel insane, haunted by victims of his past crimes. Instead of killing Buffy, he tries kill himself by waiting for the sunrise, but the sun doesn't shine that wintry day.

Children are being killed as part of a cult sacrifice and Joyce leads the town in a witch hunt. Buffy, Willow, and Amy are tied to stakes and Giles and Cordelia rescue them. Amy turns herself into a rat to escape the angry mob.

Buffy gets a new Watcher, Wesley Wyndam-Pryce. Faith and Buffy have a wild night, as they stop the demon Balthazar. While hunting for Balthazar, Faith accidentally kills a human, the Deputy Mayor and says she "doesn't care."

The death of the Deputy Mayor is investigated, and Faith tells Giles that Buffy did it. Faith is apprehended, but escapes and sets things right with the group. In the final scene, we see that Faith offer's her service's to the Mayor.

The gang finds themselves in a real-life house of horrors while a Halloween frat party, in which a fear demon feeds on their individual fears. Meanwhile, Anya needs Giles to help her save Xander when she realizes something is amiss.

Xander gets a job bar tending at the college pub; Buffy drinks with an upperclassmen at that pub. It turns out that the bar manager is spiking the beer with some supernatural mojo, causing the targets to revert to caveman mentality.

Oz falls in love with another werewolf (Veruca), and Willow comes to the cage the next morning to find them naked together. Veruca tries to kill Willow, Oz-wolf kills Veruca, and Buffy stops him from attacking Willow.

Spike, who was captured by the commandos, is being held hostage by them in a hi-tech facility underneath the University. Spike manages to escape and heads to find Buffy, who he assumes is behind this; Riley realizes he has a crush on Buffy.
