Mapped by [[United States Geological Survey]] (USGS) in 1974. Named by [[Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names]] (US-ACAN) for [[Luis R. Soto]], Argentine oceanographer on the [[International Weddell Sea Oceanographic Expeditions]], 1968 and 1970. |
