Self-checkout lines

I am not sure, but I could have sworn that self-checkout lines were around before 2004. Anyone else? Amcfreely 06:40, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Way before 2004. It was at least before 2001. NYGiantsNYMets91 04:45, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Acme Fresh Markets

You need to create a separate page for Acme Fresh Markets because it is owned by a different company. --Micheal21 00:43, 17 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You need a new one. It is not an Albertsons company anymore. It is now owned by Supervalu. Here is a link: media center--Micheal21 03:54, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Acme

Acme is now a division of Supervalu. Please don't remove it. Thanks.--Micheal21 18:30, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You should keep the Acme logo because Acme Markets is technically still an Albertson's company, but Albertson's is now a Supervalu company.

Acme is no longer an Albertsons company. It is now a division of Supervalu. --Micheal21 22:35, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

acme is still owned by albertsons.. it goes like this: albertsons took over: Acme,Jewl, shaws..

and then supervalu took over the whole brand.. so supervalu owns albertsons and albertsons owns acme so thats how supervalu owns acme

Acme

Acme is now a division of Supervalu. Please don't remove it. Thanks.--Micheal21 18:30, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Um, it's changed back. There's no need to threaten or yell at anyone. -GTBacchus(talk) 05:53, 28 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Y'all need to read the fine print

People, Acme is still a division of Albertsons. Albertsons was sold to Supervalu, and Acme with it; Albertsons did not sell Acme to Supervalu.

Stop reverting my edits! I know what I'm talking about!

Whoever keeps changing the top of the article to saying Acme is just a division of Supervalu and not Albertsons which is a division of Supervalu needs to stop. ALBERTSONS STILL OWNS ACME. Supervalu took over Albertsons and Acme with it.

If you look at the Albertsons website you would notice Acme is not listed on there. When Supervalu bought Albertsons all the divisions became part of Supervalu Inc. How do I know? I work for Albertsons.--Micheal21 01:42, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:AcmeLogo2.gif

I found Image:AcmeLogo2.gif and noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. Someone will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If it was obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If there are other files on this page, consider checking that they have specified their source and are tagged properly, too. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 16:16, 31 May 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Fair use rationale for Image:AcmeLogo2.gif

Image:AcmeLogo2.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 16:16, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Rival Stores

I removed the section on Rival stores. All it was was a list of logos and pictures of other stores that operate in the tri-state area. I couldn't do a simple "undo", because the person who put it up did it over some six updates. The rationale is that if your article is about Acme Markets, you don't want to distract the reader away from that subject. From that standpoint, the logos and photos are entirely unnessary. If you do wish to include a listing of competitors in the area, perhaps a bullet list under "current operations" would be most appropriate. Pob lwc! Bowie60 (talk) 15:23, 5 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
