I think it would be a very bad idea to merge this page into another. The Advent Christian Church is a separate body and deserves it's own place here. It is not a subset of another religious body. [[User:Dtbrown|Dtbrown]] 06:31, 16 May 2006 (UTC)

I think it would be a very bad idea to merge this page into another. The Advent Christian Church is a separate body and deserves it's own place here. It is not a subset of another religious body. Dtbrown 06:31, 16 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • We didn't merge this page to something else, we merged something into this one. Themillofkeytone 20:09, 13 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merger and Cleanup Tag

The merger has been completed, but I don't have time at the moment to make sure the flow is decent. Thus, the Cleanup tag. Themillofkeytone 20:09, 13 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Soul Sleep

I added a link to "soul sleep", which is what they call the "conditional immortality" doctrine. My family was very involved in this church, one of my uncles (Jim Crimi) was president of Aurora college. I also added some more about their historicist interpretation of Revelations. Template:Adventism

I've removed {{Adventism}} because the template is almost exclusively about the Seventh-day Adventist Church and not about the Adventist movement in general. Even the title of the template states "Part of a series on Seventh-day Adventism". The only relations that the Advent Christian Church has with the Seventh-day Adventist Church is that both originated from the Millerite movement and share similar names. But that's all. --Farix (Talk) 16:37, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Aurora College

The article should say something about the Advent Christian's college in Aurora IL. The college is no longer associated with the demonimation, but it was an important center of activity in the past. DonPMitchell (talk) 19:19, 15 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sabbath

Since sabbath-keeping is such a distinctive element of the majority of Adventism, it may help to explain why the Advent Christian Church worships on the Lord's Day (Sunday) rather than the Sabbath (Saturday). 204.65.210.251 (talk) 19:02, 31 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Beliefs

The declaration is a good addition, but I think the previous material in that section should have been preserved. Now a readabe discussion of the church's beliefs is replaced with a a very long formal credo. DonPMitchell (talk) 09:35, 6 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
