: Actually Samir there is a separate maintenance template for articles with self-published sources. Template:Third-party is explicitly about "any closely affiliated source". None of the three current sources in the article are independent from the subject, and all three are written to promote his work for various purposes, including (by definition) his bio as a speaker at a conference, no matter what the conference is. The goal needs to be to find some truly independent sources so the template can then be removed once the issue has been addressed. User:Melcous added a third-party template but I think this is not correct. The purpose of this template is to ensure WP:V by avoiding self-published sources or questionable sources (see WP:SPS and WP:ABOUTSELF for the rationale as part of the policy). In this article one source clearly is self published (Medical Masters Japan); however two are not - Endoscopy on Air is Humanitas Hospital's live endoscopy program and is unaffiliated with the WP:BIO subject - and has his info on it because he presented as part of their event. This is not a self-published or questionable source. Actually Samir there is a separate maintenance template for articles with self-published sources. Melcous (talk) 14:22, 12 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
