[[Template:Third-party]] is explicitly about "'''any''' closely affiliated source". None of the three current sources in the article are [[WP:IS|independent]] from the subject, and all three are written to promote his work for various purposes, including (by definition) his bio as a speaker at a conference, no matter what the conference is. The goal needs to be to find some truly independent sources so the template can then be removed once the issue has been addressed.
