First golf course on reclaimed land?

The claim that this course is the first in the world on land reclaimed from the sea is surely preposterous. (The claim was featured in "Did you know?" on the main page on 24 July.) Counter-examples:

There are several golf courses on the Dutch polders
Much of Mumbai is built on reclaimed land, including the golf course of the Willingdon Club
Several golf courses in Singapore are on reclaimed land, including the Marina Bay course and the courses next to Changi Airport
