Theresa Greenfield is an American political candidate running for a United States Senate seat in Iowa in the 2020 election. She is a member of the Democratic party.

Political career

2018 campaign

Theresa ran for Iowa's 3rd congressional district in the 2018 midterm elections. She was removed from the primary election on March 19, 2018, after her campaign manager admitted to forging signatures to meet the quota needed to run for the office.[1]

Theresa declared her candidacy for the 2020 Senate elections on June 3, 2019.[2] Since declaring her candidacy, she has mainly run on the platforms of expanding the Affordable Care Act, increasing retirement security, getting big money out of politics, adding jobs to strengthen the economy, and making sure rural communities have the tools and infrastructure they need to thrive. She has been endorsed by current and former politicians including Dave Loebsack and Abby Finkenauer.
