My name is Kurt Tarvis and I have been editing here and there for at least 15 years and on this account since 2007. My main interests involve geography, history, and architecture. Born and raised in Massachusetts, I have been lucky enough to live in eight different states as an adult and always love being around new geographical locations and immersing into local culture. I am also an avid photographer and have been adding much needed photographs to pages when I can.

Born in 1992 in Quincy, Massachusetts and raised in South Hanson, Massachusetts until age fifteen and then in North Hanson, Massachusetts. Later moving to Aroostook County, Maine, Vergennes, Vermont, Levittown, Pennsylvania, Providence, Rhode Island, Charleston, West Virginia, Douglasville, Georgia, and Shrewsbury, West Virginia.
I have travelled to 36 American States and 6 foreign countries (Canada, England, Wales, Ireland, France, and Iceland)
I am of Irish, French Canadian, and Azorean-Portuguese ancestry. My 9th Great-Grandmother, Marie Olivier Sylvestre Prevost (born Ousibiskounesout Manitouabeouich) was the first Amerindian person to marry a white colonist (Martin Prevost) on written record in Canada in 1644. Sylvestre was born to a Wyandot (Huron) father and an Abenaki mother. After Sylvestre passed away early, Martin Prevost would then marry Marie d'Abancourt who, from a previous marriage, was mother of famed explorer Louis Jolliet.
