    Youth League U15 page deletion

Dear Edgar181 sir, why did you delete the page about the u15 youth league of india? There are so many waste pages i have been seeing from last 7 years hardly contain one or two links. My atricle was truly genuine with more than 10 links. Can you explain me what was wrong? It's possible to do something different? Let me know Andrea Abhishe78 (talk) 19:15, 1 September 2018 (UTC)

To be included in Wikipedia, an organization must meet certain notability criteria (see WP:N for details). Youth League U15 has already been determined to be non-notable by Wikipedia standards (Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Youth League U15, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/I-League Youth U15, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2017–18 Youth League U15, etc.), so the topic is unsuitable for Wikipedia. -- Ed (Edgar181) 21:55, 1 September 2018 (UTC)

Than why are you not deleting another article called Youth League U18 This article is also similar to mine How can i get my article back? Abhishe78 (talk) 03:30, 2 September 2018 (UTC)

If there is an article comparable to the one that has been repeatedly deleted, then it should probably be deleted too. -- Ed (Edgar181) 10:06, 2 September 2018 (UTC)

    Administrators' newsletter – September 2018

News and updates for administrators from the past month (August 2018).

    Administrator changes

    added None
    removed AsterionCrisco 1492KFKudpungLizRandykittySpartaz
renamed Optimist on the runVoice of Clam

    Interface administrator changes

    added AmorymeltzerMr. StradivariusMusikAnimalMSGJTheDJXaosflux

    Guideline and policy news

    • Following a "stop-gap" discussion, six users have temporarily been made interface administrators while discussion is ongoing for a more permanent process for assigning the permission. Interface administrators are now the only editors allowed to edit sitewide CSS and JavaScript pages, as well as CSS/JS pages in another user's userspace. Previously, all administrators had this ability. The right can be granted and revoked by bureaucrats.

    Technical news

    • Because of a data centre test you will be able to read but not edit the wikis for up to an hour on 12 September and 10 October. This will start at 14:00 (UTC). You might lose edits if you try to save during this time. The time when you can't edit might be shorter than an hour.
    • Some abuse filter variables have changed. They are now easier to understand for non-experts. The old variables will still work but filter editors are encouraged to replace them with the new ones. You can find the list of changed variables on mediawiki.org. They have a note which says Deprecated. Use ... instead. An example is article_text which is now page_title.
    • Abuse filters can now use how old a page is. The variable is page_age.

    Arbitration

    • The Arbitration Committee has resolved to perform a round of Checkuser and Oversight appointments. The usernames of all applicants will be shared with the Functionaries team, and they will be requested to assist in the vetting process. The deadline to submit an application is 23:59 UTC, 12 September, and the candidates that move forward will be published on-wiki for community comments on 18 September.

    Request for deletion

I need to request you that please delete the page User talk:Ram The Editor as the CSD g5 because it was created by Ram The Editor, who is a banned or blocked user and that user violated the ban or a block by creating User talk:Ram The Editor. Thank you. 122.162.150.232 (talk) 16:37, 6 September 2018 (UTC)

Considering that deletion of that page has already been declined by two different admins, I think this is something that would be best handled through Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion. -- Ed (Edgar181) 17:11, 6 September 2018 (UTC)

    Continuation of "Request for deletion"

That page (User talk:Ram The Editor) was created by a blocked or a banned user (Ram The Editor), so that page should be deleted as g5 because that user is violating a ban or a block. So please delete User talk:Ram The Editor as g5. 122.162.150.232 (talk) 17:26, 6 September 2018 (UTC)

I have also requested deletion at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion. I created Wikipedia talk:Miscellany for deletion/User talk:Ram The Editor for requesting. I created it as a talk page because IP addresses can not create project pages. So please understand as a request be a "Wikipedia talk:" page. But I created Wikipedia talk:Miscellany for deletion/User talk:Ram The Editor/GA1 by mistake as there is no GA1 at the page name. Please also delete Wikipedia talk:Miscellany for deletion/User talk:Ram The Editor/GA1 as that page was created by mistake. You can also delete User talk:Ram The Editor from there. Thank you. 122.162.150.232 (talk) 17:54, 6 September 2018 (UTC)

Thanks for creating the MFD. I deleted the page created in error, but it's best to defer to the MFD for the other page. -- Ed (Edgar181) 18:47, 6 September 2018 (UTC)

    Dave Roller on Wikipedia

    Attn: User talk:Edgar181

Thank your for your kind response Edgar181 to my concerns for Dave Roller's information that was suddenly deleted twice by User: Gonzofan2007 after being on Wikipedia for over 10+ years with no problem. Gonzofan2007 has now deleted Dave Roller's information for a third time after I posted my concerns in the Tea house (which was one the options given to communicate) and he added that he decided not to block me. There is no need to block me for I will NOT be adding anymore information on Dave Roller. It is too confusing as to what was wrong with his information that Gonzofan2007 would delete all of Dave Roller's information. And it is even more confusing as to what is needed to correct Dave Roller's information to conform to Gonzofan2007's standards or concerns. I did not respond to the reply from Gonzofan2007 since he deleted all of Dave Roller information instead of being informative enough to help correct whatever he felt was wrong.

I will inform Mr. Roller so he can contact his fan base to let them know the reason he is no longer on Wikipedia. It is VERY DISAPPOINTING to know that Wikipedia does not want truthful and informative information published. Makes me wonder what other informative information is withheld on others. But it makes me VERY SAD for Dave Roller that he will no longer be included.

I guess if he is ever on Wikipedia again the information about him will come from one of your writers that are less knowledgeable of his history. You mentioned that you had made a few changes to his information on Wikipedia. Thank you for your time in doing so but I never had the opportunity to read your corrections because Gonzofan2007 deleted everything. I don't know why anyone would want to add to information on Wikipedia if this is the way they are treated. I am so disappointed. And it is with great sadness that I have to tell Dave Roller to stop referring his fans to Wikipedia because his information is no longer featured.

Again, thanks for your kindness. Gonzofan2007 was not so kind and I will not be responding to him anymore. He is a Packer fan so perhaps he knows more about Dave Roller than Mr Roller knows about himself. I sure hope he is not targeting Mr. Roller because he played for the Vikings after being released from the Packers. I have seen many others on Wikipedia with similar formats as what was used for Dave Roller and deleted. So it makes me wonder what the true reason his information was deleted and labeled a stub.

    User: Mmm1313

    • Gonzofan2007 was absolutely correct to revert this unencyclopedic fan page version [1], and has done a more than credible job rewriting and sourcing the biography to meet the guidelines. 2601:188:180:1481:65F5:930C:B0B2:CD63 (talk) 20:29, 18 September 2018 (UTC)
I agree. The version by Gonzo fan2007 is a far better encyclopedia article and certainly more compliant with Wikipedia's guidelines for biographies. -- Ed (Edgar181) 11:22, 19 September 2018 (UTC)

    User:GanonsBane

Hello. I need to let you know that user:GanonsBane is talking on her talk page about wanting to die. I am not sure how to handle this. CLCStudent (talk) 13:48, 19 September 2018 (UTC)

I'll handle it. Thanks for letting me know. For future reference, Wikipedia:Responding to threats of harm is the guidance to follow. -- Ed (Edgar181) 13:49, 19 September 2018 (UTC)

    Blocking a user

Can I block you for being a cunt who wrongfully blocked me? DukeColeBannon (talk) 19:57, 22 September 2018 (UTC)
