Spambots

I encountered one of your spambots and indef-blocked it. Do you have any comments to make about why you thought this was ok? Beyond adding an inappropriate link to an on-line gambling site to my user page, that is? --Guinnog 13:48, 15 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Was it in fact you at all? Apologies if not. --Guinnog 14:03, 15 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I apologise. It seems I was taken in by a joe job. --Guinnog 14:43, 15 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Alfred-McCoy.gif

Thanks for uploading Image:Alfred-McCoy.gif. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Rossrs 07:59, 16 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Lain FAC

Hi! Just in case you're still around, I saw that you have done some work in the past on Serial Experiments Lain, and I thought you might want to know it's been put up for FAC. Should you want to voice your opinion, please do so there. Thanks!--SidiLemine 09:56, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

wait, what?

Maru, gone? I came here to wish you a merry xmas, and found the place abandoned.

I'm taken aback. I dunno what happened, but -- do keep in touch outside of Wikipedia? You have all my contact info, and of all the hardheads around here, I've always had a soft spot for you and your jabs.

Oops... forgot some things.

This user is asking that their block be reviewed:

Marudubshinki (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I'd like to clean up my userspace. I forgot to do so the first time around, and it's been bugging me ever since.

Notes:

  • In some cases, you may not in fact be blocked, or your block has already expired. Please check the list of active blocks. If no block is listed, then you have been autoblocked by the automated anti-vandalism systems. Please remove this request and follow these instructions instead for quick attention by an administrator.
  • Please read our guide to appealing blocks to make sure that your unblock request will help your case. You may change your request at any time.
Administrator use only:

If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, replace this template with the following, replacing "blocking administrator" with the name of the blocking admin:

{{Unblock on hold |1=blocking administrator |2=I'd like to clean up my userspace. I forgot to do so the first time around, and it's been bugging me ever since. |3 = ~~~~}}

If you decline the unblock request, replace this template with the following code, substituting {{subst:Decline reason here}} with a specific rationale. Leaving the decline reason unchanged will result in display of a default reason, explaining why the request was declined.

{{unblock reviewed |1=I'd like to clean up my userspace. I forgot to do so the first time around, and it's been bugging me ever since. |decline = {{subst:Decline reason here}} ~~~~}}

If you accept the unblock request, replace this template with the following, substituting Accept reason here with your rationale:

{{unblock reviewed |1=I'd like to clean up my userspace. I forgot to do so the first time around, and it's been bugging me ever since. |accept = accept reason here ~~~~}}
