I'm doing this purely as a formality, as a matter of information. As I trust that you know already, Talk:Genetically modified crops has been placed under discretionary sanctions. These sanctions include requirements for civil conduct when talking to other editors. You have made these two edits addressed at me: , . If you address me or another editor that way again, I will report you to WP:AE. --Tryptofish (talk) 01:54, 13 February 2016 (UTC)

:Semitransgenic had already been alerted to the sanctions (not in the log for some reason though). Either way, this is my notification to them that a case has been opened at WP:AE regarding their behavior as this has become more than an isolated incident. Live coding deletions

Hi can you please discuss notability of Alexandra Cardenas on her talk page, and not arbitrarily remove wikilinks in advance of that discussion? Her notability has already been contested and established. It would be annoying to repair later. You also tagged the article as not having any references when it has four, and removed an unrelated edit in reverting mine. Yaxu (talk) 12:13, 21 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Jazz Fusion

Your contributions to the jazz fusion page are generally excellent, and much needed. However, I question the inclusion of Afro-Cuban jazz, not because it's unimportant—(au contraire!)—but because, though literally a fusion of jazz with non-jazz music, it's not what's generally understood as the "fusion" genre; and you haven't drawn a connection between Afro-Cuban and the birth of the fusion genre. This opens the door to any outside influence on jazz getting its own subheading in the fusion article. Afro-Cuban obviously belongs in the Latin jazz article and in its own article, both of which are already established. But, if Afro-Cuban is fusion, why aren't Ellington, be-bop, cool jazz, third stream, etc.? Perhaps some background on the intersection between jazz and other musics prior to the 1960s would make a good setup to the history of fusion proper. Anyway, I wanted to discuss it rather than forcing the issue with a reversion, especially as you've contributed much more to the article than I have. can be changed to pre-history, the Afro-Cuban jazz scene was a huge influence on later developments, it is a form of fusion, there are sources for this, I will root them out and add them if you prefer. Semitransgenic talk. 19:55, 31 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I think "prehistory" (or whatever you might call it) is better, and sources for its influence on/categorization as fusion would be invaluable. I'm interested in seeing where this goes. Thanks. Pstoller (talk) 01:24, 1 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
