2007 Piedras Negras-Eagle Pass tornado[edit]

You found a source that said that these two tornado events were connected. While I don't necessarily doubt that finding, I really need to know where exactly in the article it is. I haven't studied Spanish in a long time, so I don't know where it is. Also, with NCEI report saying that these were two separate tornadoes, we got to figure out which source should be used here. From the source I labeled, I have these areas in the article (with their English translations!):
Page 4, Paragraph 3 - "The participating investigators conducted an extensive tour of the affected areas to identify the path of the tornado in the Piedras Negras area and traveled to the area of Eagle Pass, Texas, to also recognize the affected area of Rosita Valley (Rosita South) in the same Maverick County that was also damaged by the tornado to interview local officials. and collect information on the effects of the passage of the meteor that would be useful to generate some comparative appreciations."
Page 6, Paragraph 1 - "On the afternoon of Tuesday, April 24, 2007, a storm system called a supercell appeared in the north of the country that generated a tornado of multiple vortices that developed a devastating path with a little more than 1 kilometer in diameter through the area of Villa de Fuente in the urban context of Piedras Negras, Coahuila and advanced a little more than 22 kilometers to reach the residential area of Rosita Valley (Rosita South) in Eagle Pass, Texas."
Page 6, Paragraph 3 - "In field interviews, we found descriptions of the formation of the tornado in the Acoros residential colony to the west of the city of Piedras Negras, following a trajectory to the east, causing damage to the Deportivo Fraccionamiento and the most severe damage to Villa de Fuente, then passing through the Ejido Villa de Fuente where it stopped generating destruction in the urban area. Moving forward through unpopulated areas in a southeasterly direction crossing the Rio Grande, to reach inhabited areas again in the aforementioned area of Rosita Valley jurisdiction of Eagle Pass, Maverick County in Texas."
And then Page 24 on the paper has a map of their estimated path of the tornado.
Personally, as much of a used source as the NCEI is, I think this paper is better solely because of the fact it is a research paper and it was published after the NCEI release.
