*Comment This article, on Pete Draganic, was recently deleted. However, I feel that the deletion was unwarranted as it did meet a variety of criteria for preservation. Under the provisions as set forth in the "notability criteria guideline for Wikipedia", I feel that Pete Draganic meets the following:

<P><B>"The person made a widely recognized contribution that is part of the enduring historical record in their specific field."</B> While this is subjective, I feel that Pete Draganic made a substantial contribution through his campaigning, surpassing many previously conceived boundaries for a little-known candidate in political race for an office of such importance as that of Ohio Governor. He regularly spoke and debated on stage with his better-known opponents, all accross the state of Ohio. He was covered by all major media in the state, and extensively so. His endorsement was sought by and gained by Jim Petro, prior to the priumary election and that endorsement was recognized on television by jim Petro in his City Club speech in Cleveland, Ohio. Quite frankly, Mr Draganic was and is an inspiration to all aspiring politicians, such as myself, a current student of political science.

<P><B>"Major local political figures who receive (or received) significant press coverage"</B> Pete Draganic is a major political figure in that he is recognized by every major Ohio Republican. He has also been the beneficiary of substantial press coverage as stated above. His candidacy was reported on by every major newspaper in Ohio as well as a significant number of smaller newspapers. He was interviewed on numerous television and radio stations and even served as a political analyst on an Adelphia Cable Network political show.

<P><B>"Persons achieving renown or notoriety for their involvement in newsworthy events" </B> Again, refering to the above referenced facts, Pete Draganic was transformed from a virtually unknown private figure to one of noteriaety in Ohio's political circles, especially those related to the republican party. I believe that Pete Draganic's presence will be continued and improved over the course of time and that his acheivements to date are of significance.

<P><B>In conclusion of my argument</B>, I am in the research stage of writing a paper on a political figure that is inspirational to me. Pete Draganic is one of the finalists on my short list of candidates. I was dismayed to see that his article on Wickipedia was recently terminated and I think to continue such termination is a diservice to a great many aspiring politicos.

<P>I hereby request that the article on Pete Draganic be reinstated without further delay. Thank you for your consideration. 65.43.181.27

*Endorse deletion AfD was valid, no prejudice against creating a new article as long as it remains objective and establishes notability. From the points above I'm fairly pessimistic though that the opinion of the community on the subject himself will change. ~ trialsanderrors 01:34, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
*Endorse per Trialsanderrors. Deleted article doesn't establish any of it. Would be happy to undelete it for you to work on in your userspace or something, but the old version is not ready for the article space. - Mgm|(talk) 09:08, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
*Endorse deletion. Community consensus is that successful candidates in major elections are notable by virtue of their ofice, unsuccessful ones require some other substantive claim to fame. No credible evidence is presented that such exists here. <b>Guy</b> 13:44, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
*Endorse closure (keep deleted). As a resident of NE Ohio and a political news junkie, I think I'd have noticed if he were "extensively covered by all the major media in the state" or was a "major political figure" of either party. I see no process problems in the deletion discussion and no credible new evidence suggesting that he meets any of our recommended criteria for inclusion of biographies. *Comment - With 17,000 Google hits, I believe there is enough material to make an objective article. Wjhonson 04:25, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

Lazy Dork

My artical got deleted , the admins said it was rule 7 , i didnt explain why the person was famous. So i will list some reasons then you can reconsider. 1. This person is a youtube star , just like emmalina , she is on wikapedia if you search. What makes here applicable and not lazydork? 2. newspaper articals .lazydork is mentioned in the washinton post http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/06/17/AR2006061700067.html and http://blogs.smh.com.au/mashup/archives/004914.html about one of his performancses 3.he has realeased 50 vidios upwards totaling 12,000,000 views . the highest in you tube — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.43.181.27 (talkcontribs)

  • Endorse deletion. We require multiple non-trivial references in reliable secondary sources. One sentence in a Washington Post opinion piece and some blog posts do not amount to a credible claim of notability. Guy 13:47, 5 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • unendorse vidio emmalina is on wikapedia when she hasnt done anything more than lazy dork — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98smithg2 (talkcontribs) Note Comment moved here from civil engineering quiz DRV ~ trialsanderrors 19:25, 5 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment This DRV was filed by Cailler (talk · contribs), but they placed nothing under the heading to explain why the DRV had been filed. If Cailler does not give a reason for the DRV reasonably soon, it will probably be deleted. --ais523 14:54, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
    • I can't imagine how they'll argue that this belongs here -- it looks like it's an attempt to use Wikipedia as a free webspace rather than an attempt to make an article. --Improv 17:13, 4 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Endorse deletion. Wikipedia is not the place to post abstracts of new research and articles should NEVER start with a question. This appears to have essay material and OR written all over it. - Mgm|(talk) 09:11, 5 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Endorse deletion, allow userfication if Cailler wants the text for something else. Looks like a perosnal essay. Guy 13:49, 5 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
