There appears to be long-running and unresolved issues with the Lyndon LaRouche topic. Among them are WP:BLP problems. In watching the LaRouche article for some time, it seems that SlimVirgin (SV) and Will BeBack (Will) try to add or retain negative information in LaRouche-related articles. For example, after this WP:BLPN returned a consensus to remove mention of Jermiah Duggan's suicide from the LaRouche article, SV restores it (the information was removed after a avalanche consensus to do so in subsequent RfC, which SV initiated [1]). Will Beback kept lists of negative information on LaRouche [2] [3] [4], and used them to add negative information to LaRouche articles [5] [6] [7]. Here, Will Beback removes a quote that is critical of a strong LaRouche critic, even though the quote is in the footnote.

As discussed in the two ANI threads linked above, SV and Will appear to collect private evidence on anyone who edits from the LaRouche organization's office in Los Angeles, then privately share that information with a checkuser, in those two cases JPGordon and Georgewilliamherbert. As the ANI threads show, they appear to have access to private checkuser info, which they refuse to share with non-admins, and refuse to open public SPIs. In other words, SV and Will appear to be acting as de facto administrators in articles in which both are regular editors.

There seems to be a strong animosity between SV and Will and the LaRouche organization in general [8] [9]. Will Beback appears to have been in contact with anti-LaRouche activists. He uploaded an image on behalf of "xlcr" [10] (admin only). XLCR is apparently anti-LaRouche activist Paul Kacprzak. Will Beback also uploaded this and this image ([11]) on behalf of Marielle Kronberg, a LaRouche adversary. The battleground mentality here has been expressed in other derogatory statements about the LaRouche organization and directed at a banned editor [12] [13] [14] (I understand the term "LaRouchie" is considered to be a derogatory reference towards advocates of the LaRouche movement).

The animosity towards LaRouche and the efforts at keeping negative information in the articles has been disruptive to content discussions and efforts to improve the articles. For example, there was this edit war over an NPOV tag which led to the ANI thread linked to above [15] [16] [17]. Although one of those editors was later blocked as an "HK sock", the editor was not blocked at that time, and his/her edit should have been treated in good faith.

The lack of cooperation and ready willingness to compromise has led to a number of posts at the BLP and reliable sources noticeboards, including this one. In that thread, two of the regulars at that noticeboard reacted with annoyance at attempts by Will Beback to cast aspersions on editor involvement in that thread [18] [19]. After their angry reaction, I asked Will if he would be willing to take a self-imposed break from the topic for six months, and he declined. Will has since continued to edit war [20] [21] and to remove material favorable to LaRouche from the article, then go on and on about his battle with "HK socks" in the resulting talk page discussion [22] [23] [24]. After other editors chimed in, the edit was readded over Will's objections.

These diffs/links are but a portion of what I've observed over the last couple of years. For example, I didn't go into what happened when I mentioned LaRouche in this article. Also, it appears that recent efforts by Jayen466 (who I will notify since he's being mentioned here) to NPOV the articles has been met with unnecessary resistance. Apparently, the two previous ArbCom cases related to this topic failed to end the NPOV and battleground problems associated with it, and I ask that the current Committee give it another look.
