<s>*Restore -- To Evertype and BabeStone: Not being aware of something does not mean its non-existence. As the reliable academic sources backing Dr. Gábor Hosszú are mostly in "carpathian Basin" languages - eg. Hungarian -, non-speakers of this language do have seroius handicap. But this fact is not explanation for promoting (through vandalism) the erronous "Old Hungarian" or "Hungarian Runic" theories leading back to Michael Everson and his supporters. --81.17.183.89 (talk) 12:32, 26 June 2011 (UTC)</s> Sockpuppet(s) blocked at SPI. --Dougweller (talk) 16:25, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

You will get 41 hits all of which are based on the same self-published research. From a scientific standpoint, Revised proposal for encoding the Carpathian Basin Rovas script in the SMP of the UCS does not offer any credible evidence for "accepting" the "theory" that the "Carpathian Basin" "script" existed. From the standpoint of the Wikipedia, it is not in any way notable. From the standpoint of the history of writing systems, my opinion is that it is either a fiction, devised in order to give a pretended antiquity to Old Hungarian (which is old and respectable enough), or it is just the result of inadequate scholarship. -- Evertype·✆ 12:39, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

This article is one of a series of Original Research articles being promoted by the user who created this article. Note that the source documents include a new 2011 publication by Gábor Hosszú along with a proposal to encode the Old Hungarian script by the same author. The existence of the script "Carpathian Basin Rovas" is not established in the literature, nor is the "Kazarian Rovas" fictions. See the user's many contributions on this at: [1] -- Evertype· 20:23, 25 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

 • Delete -- all searches for "Carpathian Basin Rovas" seem to lead back to Gábor Hosszú, who appears to be the author of this article. "Carpathian Basin Rovas" is not an accepted script, and its existence as a separate entity is not supported by any reliable sources. BabelStone (talk) 22:29, 25 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

 • Response: Click on Find Sources above. -- Evertype· 12:39, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
 • Delete -- appears to only be a self-promotional article about a work of original research. Vanisaac (talk) 21:31, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
