Asperger's is no longer a recognized diagnosis in either the DSM-5 or ICD-11. Some content might be merged into the Asperger syndrome or the Diagnosis of autism articles. Skvader (talk) 16:11, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Merge anything that might be useful in the Asperger article, Delete the rest. nf utvol (talk) 17:51, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • keep - historical value. Lots of references. Heck, we have articles about obsolete medical things, most prominent IMO being Female hysteria (with its "tendency to cause trouble for others" :-). The lede must be updated, to include its removal and controversy. - Altenmann >talk 19:46, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I think the more apt parallel would be the article Asperger syndrome, which definitely has historical value along the lines of Female hysteria. But there's no article for *diagnosis* of hysteria. I don't see any "diagnosis of" articles in Wikipedia for any disease/syndrome that isn't currently a valid diagnosis (but I might've missed something). Merge and redirect. Since Asperger syndrome isn't a medical diagnosis in the DSM-5 and ICD-11 and those are the classification systems that are most used, having a standalone article about its diagnosis isn't really necessary. I agree with the nominator; the content should be placed in Asperger syndrome and Diagnosis of autism. That Tired TarantulaBurrow 21:35, 30 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
