Úrsula Corberó Delgado (born 11 August 1989) is a Spanish actress, best known for her roles as Ruth in the Antena 3 series Física o Química, Margarita de Austria in Isabel, Esther Salinas in the series La embajada and Tokyo in the television series Money Heist.
Early life
Úrsula Corberó Delgado was born in Barcelona, Spain on 11 August 1989.[1][2] Her mother is Esther and she has one sister named Mònica.[3] By age 6, she already knew she wanted to be an actress and she first started acting in commercials.[4] After her studies, she moved to Madrid to shoot the TV series Física o Química.
Career
Corberó debuted as Maria in television series Mirall Trencat in 2002. She appeared as Sara in Ventdelplà in 2005–06, and in series Cuenta átras in 2007. In 2008, she portrayed Manuela Portillo in series El Internado and began working on the Antena 3 television series Física o química until 2010.[5][6] Her character, Ruth Gomez,[7] suffered from bulimia.[8] The series attracted a lot of controversy but Corberó has been critically acclaimed for her outstanding performance.
Úrsula Corberó appeared in several movies such as horror film XP3D,[9] comedy Quien Mato a Bambi?,[10] and Perdiendo el Norte alongside the actors Blanca Suarez and Yon Gonzalez.[11] Cómo sobrevivir a una despedida is her first main role in a movie and confirmed she's one of the best comical actresses of Spain.[12]
In 2017 she starred in the heist TV series La Casa de Papel. The series first aired in Spain, and was later made available internationally through Netflix. The actress received a nomination for Best Actress in a TV Series at the Premios Feroz.
Later this year, she was given her first main dramatic role in cinema by Julio Medem. El Arbol de la Sangre is a thriller and Corberó is Rebecca, a mysterious woman who, along with her husband, discover secrets from her family. The actress was also directed by Isabel Coixet for the movie Proyecto Tiempo: La Llave. The film debuted at the San Sebastian Film Festival.
Personal life
In 2008 she dated the actor Israel Rodríguez for two years.[13] In 2013 Corberó dated model and actor Andres Velencoso for three years.[14][15] Since 2016, has been in a relationship with actor Chino Darin, who she met on the set of the TV show La embajada.[16]
She openly considers herself a feminist.[17][18]
