NBA professional basketball team season
The 1992–93 Los Angeles Clippers season was their 23rd season in the NBA , their 9th in Los Angeles.[ 1] Prior to the start of the season, the Clippers traded Charles Smith , Doc Rivers and Bo Kimble to the New York Knicks for point guard Mark Jackson . The team also acquired Stanley Roberts from the Orlando Magic . The Clippers got off to a solid start and sailed into February with a winning record, as Danny Manning was selected for the 1993 NBA All-Star Game . The Clippers finished fourth in the Pacific Division with a 41–41 record, making their second consecutive playoff appearance. In the first round of the playoffs, they lost to the Houston Rockets in five games. Following the season, Larry Brown resigned and left to coach the Indiana Pacers , and Ken Norman signed as a free agent with the Milwaukee Bucks .
