The 1999 Players Championship was a golf tournament on the PGA Tour contested from March 25–28 at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. It was the 26th Players Championship. David Duval won the tournament by two strokes over Scott Gump. The victory allowed Duval to surpass Tiger Woods for number one in the Official World Golf Ranking.[2]

Venue

This was the 18th Players Championship held at the TPC at Sawgrass Stadium Course in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Its 1999 setup measured 7,093 yards.[1]
