2001 ASEAN Para Games

The 1st ASEAN Para Games was a multi-sport event held after the 2001 Southeast Asian Games for athletes with physical disabilities. It was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 25-30 October. Participants came from 10 countries in Southeast Asia. The games, patterned after the Paralympics, included athletes with mobility disabilities, amputees, visual disabilities and those with cerebral palsy.
