Hsieh Su-wei and Barbora Strýcová were the reigning champions from 2020, when the event was last held,[1] but Strýcová has since retired from professional tennis. Hsieh partners Elise Mertens.

Mertens is in contention to regain the WTA No. 1 doubles ranking by reaching the final.
