Gummanur Jayaram is the present MLA of the constituency.[1]

It is part of the Kurnool Lok Sabha constituency along with another six Vidhan Sabha segments, namely, Kurnool, Kodumur, Pattikonda, Mantralayam, Yemmiganur and Adoni in Kurnool district.
