The 3rd District of the Iowa Senate is located in northwestern Iowa, and is currently composed of Plymouth and Woodbury Counties.[1]

The area of the 1st District contains two Iowa House of Representatives districts:[3]
- The 5th District (represented by Chuck Holz)
- The 6th District (represented by Jacob Bossman)
The district is also located in Iowa's 4th congressional district, which is represented by U.S. Representative Steve King.[4]
