Ray Porter is an American actor, voice actor and audiobook narrator who is best known for portraying the DC Comics villain Uxas / Darkseid in Zack Snyder's Justice League.
Career
After appearing in several television shows, he gained attention when he was cast as Uxas / Darkseid in the 2017 film Justice League, becoming the first actor to have been cast as the character in a live action feature film.[1] However, Uxas / Darkseid did not appear in the theatrical cut,[2] meaning Zack Snyder's Justice League will mark the character's first appearance in a live-action film.[3] Porter played Uxas / Darkseid through the use of motion capture[4] and "went through a few different vocal gymnastics trying to figure out the voice".[5]
