Kiton is the trademark of Ciro Paone SpA, company founded in 1956.[1][2] Is an Italian menswear company founded by Ciro Paone himself in 1968 to Arzano where it is based, in the Metropolitan City of Naples.[3][4]

History

The Kiton brand was set up by Ciro Paone at Arzano,[5] in the province of Naples, in 1968 and the name Kiton derives from "chiton", the ceremonial tunic worn by the ancient Greeks to pray to the gods of Olympus.[6][7] As of 2019, the company employs about 800 employees and is structured with five production sites in Italy and around 50 stores spread across various countries.[8]
