The 2023 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships (2023 WJC) will be the 47th Ice Hockey World Junior Championship. It will begin on December 26, 2022, and will end with the gold medal game being played on January 5, 2023.

Background

The tournament will be held in the cities of Novosibirsk and Omsk. This marks the first time that Siberia, the third time that Russia will host the WJC and fifth time overall including the Soviet Union.

New ice arenas are under construction in Novosibirsk and Omsk; they will be located on the banks of the Ob and Irtysh rivers. Their capacity is 10,600 and 12,000
