Hero - Bhakti hi Shakti Hai (English: Devotion is Strength) is an Indian superhero television series which aired on Hungama TV in 2005.[3][4] It is about the heroic deeds and adventures of a superhero called Hero, who is bestowed with out-of-this-world magical powers by the Goddess Durga to help him fight the criminals and supervillains. His two beloved toys Dholu and Bablie also transform into his sidekicks. Created by Arif Ali of UTV and directed by Waseem Sabir and Imtiaz Alam.

Plot

The story revolves around the boy named Joy (Sumeet Pathak), who is disliked by most of his friends due to his innocent child behaviour including his brother and except his mother and two of his best friends, Meenu and Chhota Papi. One day, Joy and his family is attacked by some goons and he tries to save them. However, everything doesn't go well as Joy's mother gets harmed and instead of praise for his courage, his brother starts disliking him even more.

Due to all these bad things happening in his life, he goes to Durga temple to get help so that she can make him smart and intelligent like his brother. Due to his innocence and indomitable will, Goddess Durga gets impressed with Joy and gives him a magical ring through which he can transform himself into a superhero named "HERO". Goddess Durga also transforms his beloved toys Dholu (Nirmal Soni) and Babli (Rupali Suri) into living beings but only for the time when Joy is in his Hero form. Here is the start of a new journey of Joy's life in which he saves the Earth from powerful supervillains and demons.
