Putra Safin Group or PSG Pati (previously known as Putra Sinar Giri)[2] is an Indonesian football club based in Pati, Central Java that competes in Liga 2 and play their home match at Gelora Soekarno Mojoagung Stadium.

History

In 2014, Putra Ijen FC was established in Jember to participate in the competition in Liga 3 East Java.

In 2018, PSG Gresik began participating in the East Java League 3 competition after buying a license from the club from Jember, Putra Ijen FC.[3] PSG Gresik joined Liga 3 East Java in 2018 after buying license of Putra Ijen, club from Jember.[4] They won Liga 3 East Java for the first time in their history after beating Perseta Tulungagung 5–3 in penalty shootout.[5]

In 2020, PSG Pati began participating in the competition in Liga 2 after buying license the club from Gresik, Putra Sinar Giri FC.[6]

Mascot

A soccer club, which is the pride of Safin (Saiful Arifin). PSG Pati tends to use the animal mascot Juwana milkfish, according to the nickname of the Pati PSG team and the Fauna City identity team, namely Bandeng Juwana (Juwana Milkfish). Seeing that the city of Pati is famous for its milkfish fishery in Juwana, milkfish animals can describe it as having a fast and strong swimming ability. As a fast-growing and strong philosophy for PSG football clubs.

Nickname

Just like other Indonesian football clubs, each club has 2 nicknames. A nickname taken from the name of a respected figure in the city, and a nickname taken from the fauna of the club city identity.

Kembang Jaya Warriors

The nickname of PSG Pati is Kembang Jaya Warriors. The name is taken from the name of a well-known and influential figure in Pati Regency.

Milkfish Juwana

PSG Pati's nickname is Bandeng Juwana (Juwana Milkfish). The fauna identity of Pati Regency is Milkfish (Chanos chanos). Pati Regency is one of the biggest milkfish producers in Java. Milkfish is widely distributed in the Juwana area. Milkfish also have the ability to swim fast and tough.
