Candelaria is a district of the Palmares canton, in the Alajuela province of Costa Rica.[1][2]

History

Candelaria was created on 19 April 1911. Segregated from Atenas canton.[2]

Geography

Candelaria has an area of 4.69 km²[3] and an elevation of 1,040 metres.[1]
