The Central District of Hamidiyeh County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان حمیدیه) is in Khuzestan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Hamidiyeh.[3]
At the National Census in 2006, its population (as part of the former Hamidiyeh District of Ahvaz County) was 32,166 in 5,728 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 30,562 people in 6,987 households.[5] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 39,897 inhabitants in 10,152 households,[2] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Hamidiyeh County.[3]
