Ashurabad (Template:Lang-fa, also Romanized as Āshūrābād, ‘Ashīrābād, and Ashorabād)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Japelaq-e Gharbi Rural District of Japelaq District, Azna County, Lorestan province, Iran.[4]
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 881 in 220 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 732 people in 233 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 801 people in 275 households. It was the largest village in its rural district.[2]
