The Central District of Ahvaz County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان اهواز) is in Khuzestan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Ahvaz.
At the National Census in 2006, its population was 1,187,340 in 251,482 households.[3] The following census in 2011 counted 1,348,282 people in 341,617 households.[4] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 1,269,817 inhabitants in 351,334 households.[2]
