Tarhan-e Sharqi Rural District (Persian: دهستان طرهان شرقي) is in Tarhan District of Kuhdasht County, Lorestan province, Iran.

At the National Census of 2006, its population was 5,531 in 1,068 households.[3] There were 5,094 inhabitants in 1,186 households at the following census of 2011.[4] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 3,909 in 1,082 households. The largest of its 13 villages was Dom Rustan, with 1,113 people.[2]
