Zagros District (Persian: بخش زاگرس) is in Chardavol County, Ilam province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Balavah.[3]

At the 2006 National Census, the region's population (as Bijnavand Rural District of the Central District) was 8,017 in 1,670 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 7,327 people in 1,771 households.[5] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 6,395 inhabitants in 1,796 households,[2] by which time the rural district had been separated from the district and elevated to the status of Zagros District.[3]
