Farming for Love is a Canadian television reality show that premiered on CTV Television Network on May 28, 2023.[1] An adaptation of the international Farmer Wants a Wife franchise, the series focuses on several Canadian farmers who are seeking to find love by meeting and getting to know a pool of potential partners before making their final choice of who they want to pursue a relationship with at the conclusion of the series.[2]
The first season featured farmers in British Columbia, with casting opened to other parts of Canada in followup seasons.[3] The series title was changed from the original franchise so that it would be open not only to male farmers seeking wives, but to female or LGBT farmers seeking their desired partners as well.[1]
Casting for a second season is already underway, with at least one gay farmer involved in the process.[4]
The series is hosted by Sabrina Jalees.[1]
