Korit (Template:Lang-fa, also Romanized as Korīt; also known as Ebrāhīmābād-e Pā’īn and Korīt-e Pā’īn)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Nakhlestan Rural District of the Central District of Tabas County, South Khorasan province, Iran.[4]
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 3,122 in 873 households, when it was in Yazd province.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 3,446 people in 1,021 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 3,081 people in 1,001 households, by which time the county had been separated from the province and become a part of South Khorasan province.[7] It was the largest village in its rural district.[2]
