The Newton Downtown Historic District is a nationally recognized historic district located in Newton, Iowa, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.[1] At the time of its nomination it contained 85 resources, of which 12 are considered individually significant.[2] The historic district covers Newton's central business district, and includes civic buildings, churches, retail establishments, offices, banks, and a hotel. The Jasper County Courthouse is individually listed on the National Register.
