Huang Jong-tsun (Chinese: 黃榮村; pinyin: Huáng Róngcūn; born 30 March 1947) is a Taiwanese politician and educator who served as President of China Medical University from 2005 to 2014 and Minister of Education of the Republic of China from 2002 and 2004.
Biography
Huang was born in Tianzhong Town of Changhua County, Taiwan, on March 30, 1947. He attended the Jingxiu National School. After graduating from Yuanlin High School in 1965, he was accepted to the National Taiwan University. He studied history at the beginning, but switched to psychology a year later. After university, he taught there.
He entered politics in 1996, when he was a director in the Ministry of Science and Technology. In February 2002 he was promoted to become Minister of Education, a position he held until May 2004.[1]
He became President of China Medical University in August 2005, and served until January 2014.[2][3]
