Champaklal (February 2, 1903 – May 9, 1992) was the devoted personal attendant to Sri Aurobindo and The Mother for over fifty years.

Life

Champaklal arrived at Pondicherry in 1921. From 1926 until 1938, he was the only other person apart from the Mother to see Sri Aurobindo on a daily basis.

During his service to Sri Aurobindo and the Mother, helping devotees seeking the Mother's blessings and various other tasks took up much of his time. But he still found time to paint, and he was encouraged in this by the Mother.
