Dauphinea is a genus of plants in the family Lamiaceae, first described in 1983. It contains only one known species, Dauphinea brevilabra, endemic to Madagascar.[1] Dauphinea is named for the type locality of Fort Dauphin (Tôlanaro), Madagascar.[2]
