Iceland was represented by Bo Halldórsson, with the song "Núna", at the 1995 Eurovision Song Contest, which took place on 13 May in Dublin. Icelandic broadcaster RÚV chose their entry via internal selection for the first time since joining Eurovision in 1986. Halldórsson had previously competed unsuccessfully in six previous Icelandic national finals (1986 – 1990 & 1992).
