The viridian metaltail (Metallura williami) is a species of hummingbird in the family Trochilidae.

It is found in Colombia and Ecuador. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montane forest and subtropical or tropical high-altitude grassland. There is no cause for concern with this hummingbird.
