11°11′43″N 77°16′7″E / 11.19528°N 77.26861°E / 11.19528; 77.26861 Avanashi (SC) is the legislative assembly, that includes the city, Avanashi. From 1977, this seat is reserved for scheduled caste. Avanashi assembly constituency is part of Nilgiris (Lok Sabha constituency). This is one of the two assembly constituencies having inter-district boundaries of limit, the other being Udumalpet.
