Mahu Kalan is a census town in Sawai Madhopur district in the Indian state of Rajasthan.Arti Gurjar is Sarpanch in Mahukalan Panchayat at Present. Mainly Gurjar and Mali cast dominantly Residing in village. Former sarpanch Hansraj Gurjar also a dominant candidate and actively present himself as a developing man in various task regarding village Mahukalan. Renowned teacher Ajay Saxena is known for guiding students in Mahukalan town and Gangapur city. Mr. Saxena has been working with State Government of Rajasthan since 1993 and was recognized by Sub-District Officer in 2008 for his incredible work as teacher.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census,[1] Mahu Kalan had a population of 8542. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Mahu Kalan has an average literacy rate of 60%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 74%, and female literacy is 45%. In Mahu Kalan, 17% of the population is under 6 years of age.
