Jitendra Mishra (born 9 September 1979) is an Indian film producer and promoter, hails from Titlagarh of Odisha, India, known for I Am Kalam , The Last Color [1] [2] and Desires of the Heart.[3][4]

Early life

He was born in Titlagarh, A small town in Western Odisha to Radha Madhab Mishra and Saudamini Mishra.A joint family of 8 members where Jitendra is the youngest. In 2000 did his Graduation in Law and Masters in commerce from Sambalpur University and went to Delhi with a dream to do something different from the monotonous lifestyle of a small town.[5] [6]

Career

Jitendra started his career as a production manager in a Delhi-based production house. In 2002, he founded a production house in the name of Flair Communications and his company became one of the leading Film production, distribution and Consultancy Company in India, already produced and promoted more than 100 successful feature films, short films and corporate films over the period of 15 years, many of them have received international recognition. Jitendra Mishra is known for critically acclaimed film I Am Kalam, produced by Smile Foundation and directed by Nila Madhab Panda which has got more than 30 international awards and 20 nominations in different categories. His recent production The Last Color by Michelin Star Chef Vikas Khanna is all set for release soon, the film was premiered at the prestigious 30th Palm Springs international film festival and currently travelling across the globe in various credible festivals [7]. Award-winning Hollywood film Desires of the Heart (2013 film) produced by Solila Parida,directed by James Kicklighter, starring Val Lauren and Alicia Minshew. Buried Seeds , Maiya , Bhorand Aasma are few among others. He has been the World sales/distribution consultant for award-winning film 'Kajarya', directed by Madhureeta Anand and produced by Starfire Movies. His company has picked up, the Hindi feature film Chausar for worldwide distribution, directed and produced by legendary Film maker / writer Sagar Sarhadi and other more than 50 different films for promotion. Jitendra Mishra has designed and implemented several international festivals, workshops and campaigns including North East Film festival in all the 8 North East States of India and Meghalaya Film Festival, for Children’s Film Society India in association with Smile Foundation. He is the festival director of the unique film festival Siffcy which he has designed for Smile Foundation, India. He has been a Member of Producers Network for last 6 years from 67th to 72nd Cannes Film Festival.Currently, he is also the elected Board Member of CIFEJ since November 2017[8] & invited as Jury member to many credible international film festivals [9] [10]
